God’s Sovereignty Plan of Salvation

Passage: Romans 11:30-36

  • Rom 11: 32 :

ESV – consigned all to disobedience
NIV – bound all men to disobedience
NASB – shut up all in disobedience
NKJV – committed them all to disobedience

The Message – God makes sure that we all experience what it means to be outside so that he can personally open the door and welcome us back in.

  • Gal 3:22
  • Barnes — “the keeper of a prison does no wrong in confining a criminal; or the judge in condemning him; or the executioner in fulfilling the sentence of the Law. So of God. What he does is not to compel people to remain under unbelief, but to declare that they are so”

Point 2: The gospel is the revelation of the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God

  • Rom. 9:22-23
  • Col 2:1-3
  • Eph. 3:8-10
  • Jer. 17:9
