1. Take some time to summarize a chapter by chapter breakdown of Genesis 1-11.

2. What was the main problem that needed solving in the first 11 chapters of Genesis? What was the solution? How has the enemy been trying to thwart that solution?

3. From Genesis 11:31, who were the Chaldeans? What were they known for? What is another name for them later in Scripture?

4. The land of Canaan is mentioned in Genesis 11:31. Look up all the times “Canaan” is mentioned in chapters 1-10 (hint: 7x). What is Canaan known for?

5. List out the commands, and then the promises given to Abram in God’s covenant to Him. (12:1-3)

6. What does it mean that in Abram, all the families of the earth will be blessed?

7. Why was land so central to God’s promise? Why does God ask Abram to leave his country and family, and go in faith?

8. Why is it that God protects Sarai even though Abram doesn’t trust God to protect them in Egypt with Pharaoh?
