Seeds Nursery

Ages 1-4

Seeds is the youngest ministry of Berean. We care for and teach our precious little ones ages 1 to 4. More than simply babysitting, our job is to lovingly care for the children’s physical and spiritual needs that they might grow up to know our heavenly Father. We have three different age groups within Seeds. We teach them using the Children Desiring God curriculum from Desiring God Ministries. Keep our little ones in your prayers because the kingdom of God truly does belong to such ones as these (Mark 10:14b-16).

Sunday Worship 11 am*

Sunday School Phase I Reopening of Classes A & B  (3 & 4 year olds as of Sep 1, 2020) on Nov. 15

Depending on the number of attendees, we may need to limit the number of children in the beginning. For those who are not yet ready but will be ready in the coming months to send your child into Seeds, please reach out to Sarah DLS before the month begins so we can plan and staff accordingly.

**YouTube lessons for all classes (Class A-C) will still be available online indefinitely.

Will update changes in the coming months.

Covid-19 Health & Safety Guidelines

Schedule / Check-in Changes

  • Please try to ‘check in’ your child & obtain his/her name tag BEFORE service starts.
  • Your child will attend praise with their parents outdoors and then be dropped off during the last
    praise song/announcements.
  • There will be 6ft markers on the ground outside to maintain social distancing & we will accept
your child at the SOW entrance door instead of the SEEDS entrance door to minimize crowding in
    the SOW reception area.
  • Pick up will be the same as drop off.

Healthy Child Policy

New policies:
  • Each child (and adult volunteer/teacher) must wear a mask (not faceshields alone) inside Seeds.
  • Temperatures will be scanned for each child upon entry.
  • Gel in AND gel out for each child (hand sanitizer)
  • Surfaces/toys will be sanitized before and after however play time and toys will be limited.
  • Crayon containers will be labeled for each child and placed in their cubby (instead of passing out crayon containers every week.)
  • Social distance markers will be taped onto the ground for praise time as well as bible story time for visual markers for the kids.
  • Classes may be divided into different rooms depending on the number of attendees in order to ensure smaller class sizes.

As usual, to minimize the spread of infection, please do not check your child into nursery if they have had the following symptoms within the last 24hrs:
  • Fever
  • Colored nasal discharge
  • Wet, non-allergy cough
  • Conjunctivitis or pink eye
  • Earache or sore throat
  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Measles, roseola, chicken pox, hand, foot and mouth disease

What to Bring

  • NO snack time for the kids.
  • Please do not pack a bag for your child. Their shoes should be the only belongings that will be placed in their cubby.
  • Water will be provided if your child asks for water during those ~45 min with us!

*Signups Required

If your child is not signed up through the Google Doc, we will not accept your child into the service. You can sign up your child at any time prior to the Sunday you are planning to bring him/her but we will not be taking sign-ups on the morning of the service.

Parents must fill out the Children’s Health & Background Information Questionnaire before leaving their children for the first time. We also encourage parents to use this opportunity to note any allergies or special needs the child may have.

Covid Protocols

  • Though we will take every precaution we can to prevent the spread of Covid, we do know that there are things that we may not be able to control.
  • In the event that a child and/or family members has symptoms related to Covid-19, please keep your child home and notify his teacher.
  • In the event a SOW child is exposed to a person who has been tested positive for Covid-19, please let the SOW staff know. We will keep it confidential, but we will inform all potentially compromised parties with discretion.
  • In the event one of the teachers is tested positive for Covid, he/she will immediately notify the staff and suspend all physical contact with the students until cleared by health professionals
  • As it is difficult to pre-determine many aspects related to the spread of Covid-19, some of our decisions will have to be determined on a case by case basis.
